Fold Fortress and your privacy

The short version. The current version of Fold Fortress: Card Defense does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK that sends data anywhere. A coming version will show ads through Google AdMob; what that collects is described below.
What is collected
In the current version, nothing: not your name, not your email, not an anonymous identifier, not your location, and not usage statistics. The Google Play data safety section already describes the data the planned AdMob ads will collect and share, so it stays accurate when they ship.
Where your progress lives
- Your progress, runs, collections and settings are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
- On Android, the system's own backup to your Google account may include that saved game, if you have device backup turned on. That backup is handled by Google under your account; I cannot read it.
- Deleting the app deletes the local data.
Purchases and ads
The current version has no in-app purchases and shows no ads yet. Ads are planned: a coming version will show ads through Google AdMob. When it does, the AdMob SDK will collect and share with Google your device's advertising identifier, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), how you interact with ads and the app, and crash and diagnostic data, to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud. This is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner apps. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings. The Google Play data safety section already lists this data.
Children
Fold Fortress is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. It collects no data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Rights of access, correction, deletion and portability apply to data a company holds about you. I hold none. If you would like confirmation of that in writing, ask and I will provide it.
This page
This page is a static file hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookie and runs no analytics. GitHub keeps standard server logs as the hosting provider, under GitHub's privacy statement.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date above.
